Mainly Photography but a little of everything at times

The Owls have it!

Yesterday, Dale, the Girls and I left Yellowknife for Edmonton. We would stop at my Sister’s in High Level and spend the night (and it was a great night) and then today we would continue on to Edmonton. Usually we would see Bison and Fox on trips south but, we didn’t see any of those on this trip. We did see two moose, but they ran off before we could get any good pictures. However, we did see something that we’ve never spotted before on this route, owls. We saw three. Two within a minute of each other and a third about fifteen minutes later. We spent a little time with the first two and they cooperated with us by sitting around while we snapped away. The third Owl didn’t present us the same opportunity. So, Dale and I both took some photos. Here are three photos, one of each Owl by each of us. Stay tuned for more images of our week-long trip, thanks for reading along and as always, Happy Shooting.

  3. Those are beautiful shots. The owls look so beautiful just staying there on the branches, almost as if waiting for you to take pictures of them. They are amazing eh?
