Continuing back to Qualicum Beach from Tofino, we stop at Cathedral Grove. Cathedral Grove has some of the oldest trees on earth and the size of these old growth trees is very impressive. I quickly realize that I love to photograph these areas. There is something about the wet green colours, the way the moss covers the tree trunks and the way the light hits the green leaves, I am loving it here. At first it is just me wandering around the area but, soon Dale and the girls are out walking as well. We probably spend an hour or soon just taking in the sights and sounds around us. I found a great Douglas Fir Christmas Tree, unfortunately I don’t have a 300 foot high room to put it in, lol. It was a great place to be. Here is a sample of what we saw at Cathedral Grove. Watch for our next stop, Little Qualicum Falls. Thanks for hanging with us and as always Happy Shooting.
