Photo Walks in Yellowknife.

Back in April I organized a workshop with the Photographers from Oopoomoo, Darwin Wiggett and Samantha Chrysanthou. A great group of local Photographers came out. One of those Shaun “Moose” Morris decided to organize some Photo Walks here in Yellowknife. It started out with the group who attended the April workshop but, soon turn to an open walk for anyone interested in photography and wanting to share technique and knowledge. The idea is to pick a location and just walk as a group and capture what we see there. We have had a few walks so far and they are great. Moose, you have started something good with these walks, thank you. The second walk was held on June 13, 2012. Five of us met near the start of the Niven Lake Trail and spent about an hour or so walking, talking and capturing what we saw. Moose has started a Facebook page for the walks and I suggest you come out and join in, the walks are a great way to meet others interested in the craft and a great way to learn. Again, thanks Moose, great job. Here are some of my images from the second Yellowknife Photo Walk. Enjoy, thanks for stopping by and as always Happy Shooting.

A Red Winged Blackbird (or as Moose suggested I call it a Detroit Red Wing Blackbird, lol).

One of many Ducks in Niven Lake.

A Muskrat swims close by, curious I guess!
