Lee Sacrey Photography – Lee's Chatter

Mainly Photography but a little of everything at times

Aurora, Mist and the Moon.

Last night, September 1, 2012, Dale and I went out to Vee Lake to watch and photograph the Aurora. The sky was clear, there was a big bright moon and as the temperature dropped a low-lying mist formed on the Lake. We were surprised that there were no other people at the Vee Lake boat launch. We arrived around 11:15 pm and only stayed for about an hour. We did a little light painting using my LED headlamp and a times just listened to the ducks and other creatures around us. It was a great time. We headed home after a small drive around the city and continued to watch the light show as we traveled. It was a great night for Aurora. Here is a sample of what we saw. Enjoy, thanks for viewing and as always Happy Shooting.
