Vacation 2013 – Part 2 – Alberta bound!

We traveled from Louise Falls Park to Valleyview, Alberta today and we noticed something we can say we’ve never seen before, and I mean never! Since leaving Yellowknife on Saturday morning we haven’t seen any wildlife (with the exception of some Cranes, an Eagle and a Hawk of some kind), no Bison, no Deer, no Moose, nothing. All the way from YK and no way! It is rare that we see nothing. Anyway back to today. Today was the longest drive of our planned trip south. Leaving at 9 am we didn’t arrive in Sherk’s RV Park in Valleyview until 5:30 pm. We were pretty tired when we arrived, we unhooked and set up and then just relaxed. After our little r and r break we did the usual walk around the RV park, checking things out and made sure Bella the Dog get some exercise in. Dale and I decide to muddy our shoes and check out a big field behind the park. Back to the RV for some games and showers. As night grew closer the Girls came inside and told me about the crazy red sky, Dale followed and mentioned it as well. I grabbed my camera bag and the new Gitzo carbon fibre tripod (thanks Adam Hill, lol) and off I went back to the open field. I took several different shots and Kyla swears this is the best one (I will post a different one later and then you can decide, lol). So, here is what our sunset looked like on day two of our trip. Enjoy, thanks for following along and as always, Happy Shooting.
