Yellowknife Golf Club – 62 Years and counting.

This morning I was up at 5:00 am. I had to go and shoot the Yellowknife Golf Club and I still needed to get to work some time in the morning. Garry Kelly, a friend of mine, was going to accompany me to the links. He is an avid Golfer and was able to arrange for us to get a gate key and use of a golf cart for the shoot. Our golf club is fairly unique, it is mostly sand with artificial tees boxes and greens. When you play here you carry a small piece of turf with you and it is from that piece of turf that you hit your ball. It may sound odd to some of you but, it actually quite a good course and it is very fun to play. Rick Young, from Score Golf, played here in 2009 and said the Yellowknife Golf Course should be on every golfers top ten list of places to play. There is even a YouTube video on the course (done by a club employee). Anyway, I needed to get at least 4 shots of each hole. It took only three and one half hours to get it done, plus a few hours of post processing. I thought I should post a few preview shots. Here they are. So, if you want the golf experience of a life time, come to Yellowknife and swing some clubs. The Midnight Sun Tournament might be a good place to start. Enjoy the photos and as always Happy Shooting (both pictures and golf balls).
